Don Draper Shawl - Crochet Diagram

This is an easygoing shawl. It has a ‘sharp’ triangular shawl construction with a tight defined stitch! It is made with triple crochet, chains and single crochet.

The shawl is a large size. It drapes well as a half-scarf, half-shawl. In this version I used soft pastels and narrow contrasting stripes.

The shawl is great for stashbusting! And the geometry of the stitch allows a fun colourplay :-)

The pattern comes with small short Youtube instructions – and it is great for beginners 😉 The crochet pattern is made as a diagram. In the diagram you find QR-codes. The codes lead you directly to the short video instructions on YouTube. The first QR-code is a general introduction on how to use the pattern.

In the pattern you find information about the required tools, tension/gauge, measurements, yarn needed and yardage. The shawl uses fingering weight yarn, but you can adapt the weight of the yarn according to our stash.

For the shawl shown i used aprox (give and take) 400 grams:

1. 2 skiens of Madelinetosh , Tosh Merino Light. In total 200 grams. Yardage: 100 grams = 384 m. Color: pink clay.
2. Venus crochet knitting yarn, summer #16 summer. Col: Apricot Orange or coral. 100 % acrylic. Yardage: 100 gram = 750 m. (alternativ: 1 Scheepjes maxi Bonbon. 25 grams = 140 meters. Colour: Light coral)
3. Aprox 25 grams of 100 % wool, Holling mill, Bradford. Colour: ecru (raw white). Yardage: 50 gram = 190 m. (Alternativ any raw whit sock yarn like Filcolana Arwetta)
4. 1 Unicorn Tail by Madeline tosh (12 grams). Yarn: Tosh Merino Light, colour: Edison bulb (neon yellow). Yardage: 100 grams = 384 m.
5. Aprox 20 – 25 grams of LUREX Glimmergarn, colour: 02 gold. Yardage 25 gram = 160 meters combined with black sewing tread.
6. 2 skiens of Cash Sock by Gepard yarn. Strong sock yarn with cashmere, superwash. Colur: ice blue, col. no. 6009. Yardage: 50 gram, 205 meters.
