The Kimono Cut Crochet Pattern is constructed by joining crochet squares. It is a combination of Fillet crochet and a Granny Square.

The squares draw vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines across the Kimono.

The Isager Trio Yarn has been used both in testing sizes as well in the development of patterns. Trio gives a beautiful draping effect.

The depicted Kimono is made with white mercerised cotton combined with three strands of red sewing thread. If you, like me, have a “side wagon” of sewing threads, the Anettes Kimono Cut is a great way to make use of these.

Along the way of creating the pattern I had to make a number of choices. I was bewildered. Annette, my sister in law, helped me out. She told me to go simple on color. So I did. Red and white. This is why The Kimono Cut is named after Annette.

The possible colour variations within the Kimono pattern is numerous and it invites you to be playful with different fun colour combinations.

The pattern comes with small short YouTube instructions. It is an intermediate Crochet Pattern.

The crochet pattern is made as a diagram. In the diagram you find QR-codes. The codes lead you directly to the short video instructions on YouTube. The first QR-code is a general introduction on how to use the pattern.

In the pattern you find information about the required tools, tension/gauge, measurements, yarn needed and yardage. It can adapt to the weight of the yarn in our stash.
